Trainer Bios

The Downtown Dog Loungeā„¢ offers a range of training classes to facilitate better communication between pooch and master.

Adam

Adam's focus with dogs is to bring a greater understanding of the canine agenda and every day empowerment as pack leader. He is experienced working with and training aggressive dogs; manners, tricks, and protection training are just some of the things he enjoys teaching. Each owner and dog are regarded and treated as a unique pairing. Adam's training sessions incorporate many issues, ranging from family expectations and goals to loose-leashed walking to sport work. He is also active as a French Ring sport decoy and handler. His Belgian Malinois and lab mix can be seen holding beautiful Down-Stays or happily accepting an invite to a warm lap.

Drew

Drew loves dogs and they love him. As one of our resident obedience instructors, he is available at our Capitol Hill location most days to answer questions and give pointers and information about our training methods and programs.

Drew started working with dogs professionally at the age of 16 in Colorado, his background includes boarding facilities, rescues, and he worked briefly as a veterinary assistant before becoming a trainer. He moved to Washington in 2008 and worked at the Academy of Canine Behavior as a trainer before moving closer to Seattle. He can be seen zipping through the streets of Seattle on scooters being pulled by dogs or in the mountains on his skis on one of his many dog powered adventures. He is owned by his 9 year old Border Collie Mix, Bacha who he got tired of being out-smarted by.

Drew specializes in identifying and solving behavioral problems, and implementing positive-reinforcement techniques that produce long-term results. His techniques are both effective and humane.

Drew is dedicated to helping dogs and people have great relationships at all stages of life. He will guide you into the training that best meets your dog's needs, then help you and your dog achieve your training goals. Improving K-9/Human Co-existence is his passion!
