45 Minute Behavior Modification & Obedience Dog Training

We offer private training lessons in the Seattle area with you and your dog at either of our Downtown Dog Lounge locations or in the comfort of your home. Clients and their dogs have found better ways of reading posture, understanding proper conditioning and how to be fair with affection. And of course- the joys of consistency with “down/sit-stays”, the recall and loose leash walking among the favorites. Our trainers have a successful history with behavior modification from aggressive issues, house-training, separation anxiety and destructive behavior. As well as fun trick training and increasing drive in other obedience commands.

Dog Training Classes and Pricing

• $37 session with trainer and dog during daycare or overnight stays. Or $175 for a package of 5 sessions.
• $57 private session with trainer, owner and dog (outside of daycare or overnight stays). Or $275 for a package of 5 sessions.
• $89 private session at home with trainer, owner and dog. Fuel charges may apply. Or $410 for a package of 5 sessions.

NEW POLICY: We require at least 24 hours notice for cancelled appointments. If less than 24 hours notice is given, we will charge 50% of the scheduled services. Training package holders will be charged 50% of scheduled services, but will retain any remaining days.

Dog Training Schedule

Basic Obedience
Basic Obedience is just that. It is aimed for dogs 6months of age and older. This is an on-leash class. We teach the basic obedience commands and focus on manners and leadership. Our training techniques use positive re-enforcement and markers to let the dog know it is on the right track. We teach the how, when and why of a fair correction. We want to create "active dogs" with work ethic not "reactive dogs" trying to avoid mistakes or punishment. The class is a great for first time obedience dogs with no formal education or a dog who needs some refreshment on the basics.

Puppy Manners
The puppy class is geared toward dogs 10/12 weeks - 5 months of age. This class in on and off leash and focuses on positive socialization with dogs and information and training for humans. Puppy Manners covers a lot of fundamental puppy information from potty training, mouthing, play, barking and introduction to training commands. This is a great place to get started with your new dog!

Drop-In Class
New to Downtown Dog Lounge is our "Drop-In Class". This is perfect for owners and pooches unable to make a six week commitment or anyone with good basics but need to brush up on one or two concepts or commands. Often we make honest human mistakes in our training and all we need is a little observation and coaching from trained professionals. The Drop-In Class is unlike any traditional class in that we get into the why more than the what. Each dog is worked one-on-one for a short session then isolated from dogs or owners to process the information and relax. This class is full of great tricks to help change your dogs bad habits and curve owner mistakes into a positive, fun working relationship based on trust and respect. Some basic obedience helps to have but is not required for the class.
